History
The South African Honorary Consulate in Perth was established in June 2003 through the appointment of the current Honorary Consul, Mr Bill Repard, by the then President of the Republic of South Africa, HE Mr Thabo Mbeki.
Promoting South Africa and Africa
Through his company and community involvement, the Honorary Consul has been promoting South Africa in particular and Africa in general as a destination for trade, investment and tourism to Australian companies, investors and general public since his appointment in 2003. To assist foreign passportholders residing in Western Australia wishing to visit South Africa for business or leisure, from October 2017 the Consulate can accept applications for a range of South African visas.
South African Citizens in Perth
The Consulate has been assisting South African citizens in Perth with document authentication and signature witnessing for use in South Africa. In 2016, Consulate was appointed by the South African High Commission in Canberra to provide fingerprinting services to South African citizens in the state of Western Australia.
